Hi Everybody, Its been a while since the last newsletter I just got overwhelmed with other things that took up my time, I kept saying to myself Ill do it tomorrow and the next thing a month had slipped by.

SONGKRAN
Anyway here we go, I did not manage to get out of town for Songkran and although I thought it was quite a wild time, Victor who has weathered a lot more than me said it was quite subdued compared to ones in the past. It certainly got off to a rowdy start for me, at the beginning of the Soi there was a crowd of Middle Eastern youths having a loud a rambunctious time.
It did not matter who you were-you got soaked. I noted that they seemed to go after the young Thai females, to the point of running after them if they were going in the opposite direction. I must confess I got quite pissed off when I drove past with my bike loaded with supplies after shopping. I signaled to the revellers that had I food and perishables on the bike and most of them held off but as usual there was ape in the crowd and he threw a bucket of water in my face. I drove the bike up to the guesthouse with murder in my heart, fully intending to find a brick and go back and attack the idiot.
As I arrive at the guesthouse an old lady across the street saw me dripping water and smiled at my condition and that brought it all into perspective for me, suddenly the anger dissipated and I just accepted It was a bit of a soaking and no harm done.

OUT Of Towners
On the same theme, I had three guests (one of them first time in Pattaya) come down from Bangkok at the start of Songkran so they would miss the shenanigans in Bangkok. Unfortunately they did not fare well in Pattaya,The first day they came into the guest house after a morning at Jomtien beach and asked me to get a taxi to take them back to Bangkok. They explained that as they left the beach they had been literally assaulted by crowds of young Eastern Europeans bombarding them with water,this was not in fun Tommy said it was a mob in a frenzy. The guys managed to get on a Bhat bus which was full and told the driver to get moving and do not slow down for anything, but said a furious Tommy the driver then proceeded to stop at every gathering that was throwing water so the revelers could douse the passengers. Even after the passengers had forcefully told the driver not to stop he continued to slow down, When the third dousing happened courtesy of the driver all the passenger got off the baht bus and walked away telling the driver he was not getting paid.
To add insult to injury Tommy and his gang got another soaking when they encountered the mob at the end of the soi. That was enough of Songkran in Pattaya for Tommy's friend, why pay money to get soaked here when I can get the same free at home said he.

Street Party
It was not all gloom and doom though,on the 18th I gave my staff the afternoon off to celebrate (more like I was told they were having a party). Garbage bins were lined up outside Two Guys and filled with water, chalk and talcum powder were made ready and the celebration commenced. With the latest design of water pistols at the ready they proceeded to soak each other and rub chalk on each others faces. This was more the Songkran I knew, the neighbourhood children joined in and anybody passing,declining to get wet were left to pass untroubled. The only people that were given no quarter were the young Middle Eastern youths that had been soaking all and sundry the days previously, I suspected it was pay back time because the locals went running after them and made sure they got wet.
Food drink and music was available all day and it was fun watching the gyrations of the thoroughly soaked sinuous young men dancing with abandon in the middle of the street. Now that version of Songkran I can appreciate.

Alistair's Report
I had a report form a customer who has been doing long term research of the gay bars in Pattaya ( I cant remember if he was on an educational grant or self funded), that one of the places he liked was Guys Club in walking street, what he enjoyed was the intimate atmosphere and also the show that they put on later in the evening. He also told me that a new bar has opened in boyztown that it is associated to Dave Mans club, as of now I have not checked it out.
I tend to believe Alistair's assessments/reviews because I know he is a person that has in the past endeavored until the breaking dawn of the morning and left no dark corner unexplored in his quest for enlightenment.

Birthday Parties
I was at a couple of birthday parties , My own and Ducks of(CU Bar).
My party was a low key affair at the Forest Bar, I supplied an Ice Cream cake for the customers and bought the staff a bottle of whisky. The Ice Cream cake was from Swensen's in Royal Garden,(First came across them in Mikes Bar LaCage, well worth the money), The cake was quite large with chocolate dipped cherries on the top.

After all the customers and staff had been given a piece of the cake there was a couple of slices left over. Martin had them put them in the fridge at the end of the night, thinking that was a nice treat for him when he opened up the following day. Guess what When Martin Opened the shutters and went to the fridge there it was all gone, and of course nobody knew where it went.
Must have been that Italian guy "Fuckedifano" did it again, says Martin.

I always like to go to Ducks party's because his food is excellent and his 50th Birthday party was no exception.
He had his mother bring over from Croatia 17 kG of Sausages and dry smoked ham,and happily I made a glutton of myself with them.
The spread was the home made sausages (3 varieties) all delicious, Dry smoked ham that after savoring it left you smacking you lips and looking for more. other items were Ducks secret recipe very tasty Kebab sausages (spicy or natural), Chicken Drum sticks, a variety of salads and real German farmers bread. There was lots more but I concentrated on getting more than my share of the ham and sausages.
I had some photos of Duck posing beside the food display brandishing his newest bottle of Croatian Brandy, unfortunately I managed to loose them while trying to transfer them to my computer using new software. The Old adage that comes to mind is when all else fails read the instructions, Duh!

I had a visit a couple of days ago from Monty (the original mine host of this gay guesthouse). He is back in town and looking very healthy, at first i did not recognize him as he has filled out quite a bit. When the penny dropped who he was I said hello and apologized for not acknowledging him earlier,the reason being his changed appearance. He said that he had been seriously ill for a while but was much better now. I mentioned that i had heard rumors that he was looking for a place to run, he smiled and nodded saying that many places he has been in were offered to him but they were not suitable for his purpose.
Now This being Pattaya I have already heard three different rumors where he is setting up shop and If you want to hear them you will have to drop by Two Guys!
All I can say is welcome back Monty, Pattaya is sorely in need of more characters like you.

It is sad to report there has been the passing away of a few of the Sunee regulars, Richard Bunt (Co-Owner of Gay TingTong), The Owner of the Office Boy Bar and Old Jim who almost blind was usually seen being guided by a couple of friends round Sunee.
At least they were fortunate enough to enjoy themselves with the time they had left.

Updates of the Bars
I have not done any updates in this newsletter because I have not been around the bars for a while. I did not realize this lapse until I went into one of my favorite GoGo clubs and was met with squeals of surprise and delight. As I was walking past the stage to my seat the dancers were tugging at my sleeve and saying why you not come see me long time. They were so happy that three of them did an impromptu synchronized dance routine for me, one tall slim, long clean limbed dancer with a broad pair of shoulders tapering down to a waist no bigger than my neck had me jumping for Joy (or was his name Jimbo?). I invited him to sit for a moment so I could show concern about his well general being and uncover his personality. He was a very likable person and I enjoyed my chat with him, I think he enjoyed my company as well, because when I got ready to leave he put his hands on the sides of my head turned it to face him and with lovely pouting silky lips gave me a wonderfully gentle mouth to mouth kiss.
People still ask me why I like to stay in Pattya!

Good Morning To you all,
Is is Saturday morning and I am feeling the effects of a late night survey of Sunee Plaza. As some of my customers remarked it was done only so I could bring to all the readers of this newsletter the up to date gossip, slander and downright figments of peoples imagination.

I wandered to Sunee via Happy Boys and then Eros, Happy Boys as always
was fun with the staff dancing on the tables and not only letting things all hang out but swinging them around as well.
One of the Staff was called Orangutan. Why I said , is it because he is all hairy no I was told , he has one steel and one brass ball, when he walks and they bang together they make the noise like Orang--a--Tang!!

Eros GoGo has improved by leaps and bounds, the inside has been cleaned up and there are plenty of staff abounding. The staff on Fridays wear G strings and you get a view of some nice bums. Other nights they wear Bikinis, Boxers, regular Y fronts and one night a week the are allowed to wear street clothes,
always in white. The cost of the drinks are very reasonable.

A few of the bars are now doing happy hour specials and in some places the prices half the normal charged.

After Eros I walked by the New Queens, Regies and Wan's bar all the bars appeared to be busy. I had been on my way to the All of Me Bar to say hello to Boy and Gary but was sidetracked to the Green chairs bar on the corner of Don Plaza, where I was regaled by a shocking tale by C who told me about his being taken advantage off in a well known establishment. He appeared to be a state of shock (or was it euphoria) while he was recounting his lurid and amazing tale.

C said that he was in the establishment for a quiet drink and a peruse of the staff when he got int a conversation with a comely staff member he was then invited upstairs for an more intimate chat, thinking that he wanted some fatherly advice he acquiesced to the request. Once upstairs and seated my friend was shocked rigid when the young man removed his flimsy garments and sat on his knee, then draped his arms around his neck and started nibbling his ear. The rest of the details were to graphic to describe here but C told me that he was so intimidated he was powerless to resist the young mans willful naughtiness brushing his well formed lips all over C's body.

I left c at the Green Chairs to ruminate on his encounter and moved on past the Corner bar YaYa's bar and Duc's cafe again all were quite busy. I then bumped into Duck of the CU bar who was returning to the bar with a couple of young men in tow. He told me he was taking them to the show At the Copa in Boyztown as they had never been there before. I was tempted to accompany them but had a deadline to meet and had to finish my research for the newsletter, so I paid the bin and was pleasantly surprised to find drinks were on happy hour special at half price.

Next on the list for a visit was Mic My GoGo as I had been told that they had a lot of new staff. I was not disappointed as the place was jumping!
I saw a lot of new faces and some of the old hands were about and there was one that I had not seen for a while. When I asked him where he had been he told me his Mama told him he has to go to college so now he only go to bar at weekend. Just as I was about to leave I noticed a tall young man, very handsome. I called him over and spoke to him his English was very good and he told me he works in Bangkok during the week and comes down to Pattaya at the weekend to play. I then asked him if he would like to play with me, he gave me a wonderful smile and said sure anytime. Once again where but Pattaya can you meet handsome young guys that are happy to speak with you.I am meeting him tonight as he was requesting some work related advice and unfortunately as I had a pressing schedule to deal with I could not fulfill his wants then.

La Cage Bar has a lot of new staff recently, some quite cute. There is still the happy hour on until 21.00, most drinks buy 1 get 1 free.
Mike organizes many outings with regular visits to Bangkok for Classical Music buffaloes he also puts on a few special events during the month, check out his web site for details.

I ended the evening at the Forrest House Bar, I think it has some of the most handsome and cheerful staff in Pattaya. I enjoy watching the ebb and flow of people around Sunee from here and the drink prices are very reasonable. Any time you want a game of pool there is always one of the hustlers on the staff ready to whip your ass for the cost of a drink.

dismissing the series as children s fodder. I must say that when I have started reading any one of the books I can not put it down, it just keeps me engrossed.

General
The new Le Bush hotel opposite if finally open after 2 years of construction,
I hear the prices start at 1400 B/ night.

P bar in the heart of Sunee appears to be closed, this is the bar that played Hip Hop music and was for non gays. Some uncharitable people suggested the P stood for Pussy
Oud's Bar,
I dropped in there a few times over the past month and as always was entertained by Oud and the boys. Jack and Ralph were getting ready for their trip back to the states and a visit to Costa Rica on the side.

The new road going to Jomtien seems to finally got to the beach, it is still a bit of a mess , the last time I was at Jomtien during the day I was glad I was on a motorbike because the car traffic was backed up all the way up the hill. I imagine that the businesses in the Jomtien Complex will be
happy to see the end of the construction. It was no fun truing o cross a muddy dirt road to get into the complex.

Songkran is approaching and I am already fully booked for then. I have threatened staff that I am going to stay in my room for 3 days and let them get on with it. They already have bought their "wet" gear to participate and want me to shut up shop at Midday 19 th. so they can play with the rest of the locals around here, all are welcome to come along and join in the Fun.

Greetings Everybody and "Lang may Your Lumb Reek"
This is an old Scottish expression wishing you long life,
literally translated it means "Long may your Chimney be Smoking", Those with less than pristine minds can read into it what you will.

The Reports herein are in similar to Fox News ie; "Fair and Balanced", according to my perspective anyway.

Well Pattaya is in the throws of the high season and the streets are teeming with hoards of people (Not)
It is once again a very quiet time compared to past seasons but the delights of the gay scene have not diminished.
I still get customers new to Pattaya who cannot believe what they have been missing, Almost all of them saying that they wished they had know about this place years ago.

On a sad note I have had to put up the prices of our food because of the continuing rising costs and it seems that they are still on an upward trend. To make matters worse there is now a cooking oil shortage in Thailand coupled with a rise
in cost of about 70%. The Thai government is now investigating to see if this has not been manipulated by the two major companies that control the market.

I managed to finally meet a young man last week that I have been conversing with on Gay Romeo for over a year.
He was quite reticent about coming to Pattaya from his home town as he had heard that it was a wild and wicked town.
But the lure of finding work in a gay environment was overpowering, so he plucked up the courage two months ago and came to town. He was happy when His friend found him a job as a waiter at a show bar in Jomtien as he did not want to work anywhere where they can be offed.

I have been out with him A couple of times and took him to some shows in Boyztown. You could tell he was new to town because his head was turning everywhere taking everything in. He walked slightly behind me holding on to my arm and sometimes pushed me in front of him when we were near some of the more rowdy barkers outside the bars.
At the Xboys show most of the performers were rather well endowed going by what was thrusting from underneath their gossamer thin briefs. One rather slim guy was so huge I wondered aloud if it was real. Oh yes said my new friend nodding his head enthusiastically, I don't think I have to worry about if he is really gay.

We are going on another purely platonic outing tomorrow night to the Funny Place show and drinks after wards. I have to pinch myself again and keep repeating this is not a dream, where else but Pattaya can an old fart have a handsome 21 yr old be interested in him, whatever the reason I am more than happy to receive his attention.

Ken and the calls home
A very frustrated Ken who is a regular customer was complaining about his Mobile/cell phone reception just after he arrived. On my inquiring he said that on international calls the sound was very indistinct, he had great trouble hearing his partner at home. I took him to a good phone person that I use and left him to explain his problem.

Later that day Ken came in quite happy and said the his phone had checked out OK so it must be the international satellite. A day or so later Ken told me the problem had been fixed. It seems that his partner had been given a new phone for Christmas and had only started using it. After the calls from Ken with the bad reception and frayed tempers he decided to read the instructions.
Only to be find out he had been holding it upside down, using the speaker as the earpiece.

Nab.I did the Nab disco last week mainly because I had not been there beforehand. For the Thais it is the in place to go and be seen, There were certainly lots of youfs abounding, I would say it was a 50/50, Gay/straight crowd. I bought a bottle of Whisky and the mixers (over 1500 B) to share with my younger guests. The nab is set out with a stage and a central runway shooting out A la fashion show. There were plenty of bare chested dancers on stage at any time, some quite cute. But they lacked something, it was as if they were going through the motions of something that had been done 1000,s of times before. Not at all like The Dave where I got the impression the dancers were enjoying what they were doing.
At about 01.30 there was a short show, 15 - 20 Min from performers with the Alcazar show, it was all in Thai so I missed what was being said but the locals enjoyed it. I have decided My disco and Karaoke days are over although I still enjoy going to Xzyte because of the resident band.

WW boys. I did the full show of the Wild West boys and have to say it was not a patch on the time I was there a more than year ago. This show followed the format of Lip syncing Ladyboys with Dancers doing their strutting behind her, there was one performer however that really put everything into her number and if I did not know better i would have thought she was actually singing live. Other than that nothing to write home about unfortunately.

The Venue
I at last went to the Venue for their show, I have been hearing conflicting accounts about the show so decided time to see for myself. Now for anybody not having gone to the venue before, the place is very slick, very modern and I liked the decor. I think I paid 150/160 B for a beer.

If you are going there get there early to grab a good seat to see the show. There are a few pillars in front of the stage and it is easy to get stuck behind one. The service is spot on lots of waiters hovering around to take your order.
The show itself was OK and if you have not seen a show like this before you will enjoy it.
I sincerely wish the folks at the venue lots of luck because they are at least trying to entertain their customers with new shows regularly. I am sure that it is not easy to think up new routines on a regular basis.

Police raids, there have been frequent Police raids in Pattaya recently and not just the gay scene for a change.
The Prime Minister has pledged to do something about the drug problem and has told the police to crack down on users and pushers.
There was a very large raid in Sunee where the Police blocked off all the streets, then proceeded to go round all the bars and check every Thai boy, doing an ID check and a Pee test, no farangs were remotely bothered.
They followed this up about a week later with random checks in the bars,The police would go into the bar check the boys eyes and then if they thought they were suspicious make them take a pee test, again no Farangs were bothered.
Just last night the Police were in Sunee stopping all Thai boys on motor bikes and checking their IDs and also under the seats to see if they were carrying anything. This has had the effect of clearing out most of the young street kids and the assorted nefarious types. Lets hope they keep it up, I think Sunee is much better off for it.

CU Bar, Duck of the CU Bar has informed me that he is having a 3 in 1 party on the 24 Feb. Attached is his flier for the event. The food is always good at Ducks but be warned if he offers you any of his home made Brandy, It will do your head in. I know because I am talking from experience.

All of Me Bar, Last newsletter I told you about Boy and Tom opening up their new bar In Sunee where the old Wunderbar was, It was politely pointed out to me that I got the new name wrong. Anyway earlier this month They had a large party with free food and a sound stage to celebrate Official opening and Boy's birthday. The food was excellent, cooked by Tom and Boy themselves,The music was quite good with a couple of Thai guys singing western standards until around 10.30 then Boy's friends and guests got up and did their renditions, some of the singers were good and others as the night wore on not so good, but the whiskey consumed was telling them they were just brilliant. I noticed one gentleman who is 92 was up dancing with the boys when the Issan music was playing, the boys thought this was a hoot and were laughing and clapping urging him on.

Crazy Dragon, I haven't mentioned the Dragon in a while, it is another one of my favorite bars where you can have some fun interacting with the Table Top Dancers and still have a drink at a reasonable cost, it is a no pressure atmosphere and if you just want to sit and watch you are quite welcome to do so. Mark and John who normally sit inside at the door are very approachable guys and will chat to anybody (they even talks to me).

Happy Boys, Had a promotion in last months Thai Puan monthly magazine where if you took in the Ad they ran, they gave you a free pair of the unique socks the dancers wear. I got a limited edition pair that a large boy had been using as a willy warmer. I have also been kindly supplied with discount cards for Happy Boys that will get you a free drink after you buy one and also discount cards for Eros Boys that will allow you to get a beer or soft drink for 80 B. They will be available to regular customers and residents of Two Guys as long as supplies last.

Forest bar, Has some very handsome waiters working for them, I think some of the most handsome in Sunee (personal Opinion). One in particular called Tom 2 who is not only handsome but quite pleasant to talk to and funny as well, He always tells each customer you are really the only person for him.
About two weeks ago Tom 2 had enjoyed participating in consuming a bottle of whiskey and was slightly off kilter as the evening wore on. That night about 5 regular customers including myself were sitting at the bar looking out on to the street where the boys were having their party, Tom 2 came to the front of the bar, smiled and blew a kiss at another customer down the bar from me.
I caught Tom 2's eye and pretended to be shocked and upset that he was playing up to someone else. The poor guy was well oiled by now and thought I was serious. He came round the bar pleading with me,sticking his tongue in my ear and telling me he liked me more that the other fellow and I was number one. Ken who was sitting beside me was creasing himself with laughter as I put my nose up in the air and dramatically clutched at my broken heart.
I spoke to Tom 2 a couple of days later and told him he was forgiven and we were still very good friends.

who is here on holiday was telling me that he had been to the Chez Vicky restaurant in Day Night Plaza last Sunday night. Vicky puts on a show On Sunday night only which Mickey said was worth going to see, I have added it to my list of TTD (Tings To Do) and will let you know about the show after I have seen it.

Two Guys January -11 Newsletter

We are starting New Year already! Where did the last year go?

This seems to be the cry around Pattaya. Is it always the same when you are in Paradise and enjoying life, it’s almost sinful that we should have so much enjoyment.

New Year Started With a bang (IN MORE ways than one) there were literally tons of fire works being set off all night, I heard some still exploding at 05.00 in the morning, or was that something else?

Like most of Two Guys customers I did my welcoming of the New Year in Sunee at

The Forest bar where many of the customers and staff indulged in early celebrations. At the stroke of midnight Free sparkling wine was poured and drunk, compliments of the management.

I was given a very emotional and heart felt kiss from one of the handsome young men serving, in return for wishing him a Happy New Year. We got talking about politics and the state of The Thai economy and eventually The poor young man told me a harrowing tale about his not being able to get any sleep at his apartment because all the other residents watching current affairs on TV and discussing politics all night.

I was so moved that I offered to let him sleep at my apartment for the remainder of the night, but warned him I might keep him awake because of my nocturnal habits.

He was so grateful he almost cried in his beer when he accepted my offer. I then

Reminded him again that I might keep him awake because of my snoring

(What were you thinking!)

I managed a tour round Sunee and Boyztown this month and dropped into a few bars. Starting with a newly owned Bar in Sunee called "Me and You" (ex Wunderbar) which is run by two Thai friends Boy and Tom both very pleasant and popular young me and also both ex-cashiers from La Cage.

The Bar is in a good position for watching the action going by, looking onto the cross

Street that connects the front and back Soi. Prices good are good value, there is some very personable staff on hand and the music is muted allowing you to have a conversation without having to raise your voice to be heard.

Next on the list was Duck's place (CU Bar). Duck has a double happy hour operating with a range of drinks on special for the first hour and for the second happy hour another selection on offer. He also does a good array of Croatian food which is very tasty

While I was in CU bar I got talking to a customer that has started a new business on

Threppasit road. He is selling good quality furniture made in Thailand (not China) and at about 1/3 less than the comparable cost of any of the other big retailers. He did give me his business card but as usual I have mislaid it. I am sure I will bump into him again and hopefully by next month I should have his and the businesses names.

Next to CU Bar the old Villa Rouge has been revamped into a very slick looking

Establishment called Sky, I have only walked past it but it looks like the staff are

very Welcoming and pleasant. I was told The owner previously had Treatz bar which is now closed and up for grabs if anybody is looking to start a business.

I also stopped off at Oud's bar, Oud is making a swift recovery after his motorbike

Accident and his foot is almost back to normal according to Ralph. It doesn't seem to

have affected Oud who is still his normal outgoing personality. On display at the moment in Oud's is a former customers Wedding Dress that was left to Oud. One of the staff is very attached to it and likes to parade around Sunee showing it off. The dress must weigh about 50 Lbs, it looks to be of a very heavy maroon silk and has a train that is 20 ft. long.

The old Flamingo Hotel in the Day Night complex has had the downstairs refurbished and is opening soon as the My Thai Restaurant this will give customers contrasting food styles with the Monte Christo French Restaurant next door.

Nearer home the The new Hotel over the road from Two Guys is called Le Bush, it

takes on a Moroccan theme and we are told that it is targeting high end middle eastern clients. I have added photos of the buildings progress, the first is when it was about halfway done and the second was taken two days ago almost completed. The finishing work is going on inside and the soft furnishings have still to be shipped in. I think it should be up and running in another couple of months

The tour of Boyz Town was a couple of days ago and we hit a few of the bars with a

guest who is a Pattaya Virgin. We walked through the Cafe Royal Soi and passed the Panorama and Boyz Boyz Boyz, just so Gerry got a feel for the place.

The first bar we entered was Ka Waii(not sure if the spelling is correct) which was pretty quiet although they had a few customers coming and going. The staff I am told are very popular with Japanese and Korean and tend to be on the diminutive side. I did spot a very cute dancer that I will be interviewing for next month's newsletter, in fact I saw another 2 cuties on my tour of duty that will also be getting an in depth Interviewed at a later date.

After KaWaii we looked into a couple of other places but had no customers so we by-

passed them, It was now 20.00 and we headed to Happy Place Bar to see the show. I am told that it is very energetic show with mild S & M elements, which aroused some of the performers according to a recent spectator.

We were informed earlier by one of the staff the show started at 20.00, unfortunately

somebody got it wrong. We sat for half an hour with nothing happening then asked a

waiter when the show was staring, 10 Min's he said. Still another 10 Min. waiting and no show, so as our drinks were finished we left and headed for Funny Boys.

I found out later that the show is scheduled to start at 20.30 but usually starts around

20.40. I must say though the staff at Happy Place were all smiling and friendly, not at all pushy. The bar had a good vibe to it and you could tell that the staff are happy

working there.

Now if you don't know it, Funny Boys is a comfortable, very nicely decorated and well run bar with lots of stage hands on duty. There are all types of eye candy available to suit many tastes, from Fem to Muscle and Ordinary Straights. We were having a good time comparing our notes about the comeliness of the staff but Unfortunately the atmosphere was spoiled for us when a gaggle of Male and Female Japanese tourists came in with a guide. They sat gawking and tittering behind hands pressed to their mouths, the staff didn't seem to mind, I suppose in this economic climate one cannot be fussy about who wants to spend money in your bar.

The last place we visited in the Boyztown area was Wild West Boys, we walked in when the show was in progress and we saw silicone aided Katoys (at one stage bare breasted) miming songs, accompanied by young men prancing around the stage.

There was one good spot where two performers were doing erotic and energetic things under a sheet and you were given a brief glimpse when the sheet was lifted, one performer certainly had a nice little bum.

I didn't see enough of the show to compare it to previous shows in the past that had

been very well produced. After the show was finished, I watched the exodus of customers out the door, that’s normal I thought, just here for the show. But when the "background " music started it was not only crappy techno music but was so loud that you could physically feel the base resonating on your body, needless to say we quickly made our way to the exit.

With The Boyztown tour finished we headed back to Sunee, Gerry opting for Happy

Bar in Soi Yensabai which I had introduced him to a couple of days earlier. He is of the same opinion as myself that it is well named, I know I always have fun when I visit and he has not missed a jolly night yet.

I myself headed off to the Forest Bar in Sunee to see if there was any gossip around that I could use for the Newsletter, there was gossip but of the nature that could not be printed. Come to Pattaya and find out what you are missing.

A new Boy Bar has opened up in walking street called the Guy Club and there has

been a lot of twittering in the gay community about it, but from what I have been able to find out it's marketing to the female tourists that prowl the area looking for cheap thrills.

Just recently I have had customers looking for walking sticks (canes), I was at first

pointed to the various medical supply stores. they had all shapes and sizes of expensive walking aids but not a simple walking sticks. I eventually found a shop in the Made In Thailand Shopping Plaza on second road with a variety of sticks for sale, all at 300 B each

For anybody travelling or using more than one computer this little program is a godsend. It is called "Drop-Box" and what it does is allows you to store and transfer files from one computer to another via the Internet (no need for any flash drives). it is a free program and you can upgrade it if you want more storage capacity. All you have to do is go to

www.dropbox.com/instal and then follow the instructions.

Here is a bit of humor about our rapidly changing technology, Done by Ronnie Corbett of the Two Ronnie's. Two Guys Christmas Newsletter

Merry Christmas Everybody, it seems the most of Europe is getting their Christmas season early with an abundance of snow being gifted by mother nature. I hope everybody is taking advantage of it and are out building snowmen.
In the spirt of Christmas I have posted you some Funny Christmas Cards sent to me by a nice guy called Harold. The cards were sent in a separate email, if you did not get them let me know and I will resend them.

Well Loy Krathong has been and gone, there were many celebrations, alas I did not manage to get to the beach party this year But celebrated instead at The Forest bar in Sunee. Al the staff were decked out in traditional Thai Costumes and had many people stopping to take photos of the waiters.
The following Night at the Forest bar was a Birthday party for Peanut and again all the staff were done up in different Thai Costumes, they looked quite stunning and once again were enjoying the festivities. So much so that a few of them had slight navigation problems at the latter part of the evening. The customers were lapping it up being attended to very affectionate and emotional staff who would sit in their laps while taking their order.
One of the younger staff greeted me effusively when I arrived, giving me a big sloppy kiss and sticking his tongue in my ear, Oh if only we got this service all the time.
Later on the staff member who shall be nameless ( to protect his chaste reputation) decided that the lower half of the Thai costume was to warm and ripped it off.
This left him wearing only a head band long knee length white socks and a revealing skin tight leotard made of very flimsy material under which he had little or no underwear. He was getting a lot of attention from the customers as he walked about quite unconcerned. The leotard having slid into cleft of his bum exposing his smooth skinned exquisite ass. After a while the other staff of concern should he catch a chill banished him to their sleeping quarters, alas.
I have included some photos off the staff in there traditional Thai costumes (kindly supplied by Martin). A few are slightly out of focus, the reason being that they were taken later in the evening when the staff were tired and emotional after a busy night of celebrations.

On a not so happy note, a breakfast customer came into Two Guys the day after Loy Krathong
and reported that his rental motor bike had been stolen the night before while he was partying at Jomtien beach . He was not a happy camper because it was going to cost him 60,000 B to replace it.
He said he could not believe it had happen to him, he was sitting only 500 m away from where he had parked it.
He suspected a bunch of youths which had been sitting near it, they had been watching him when he locked his camera and Walkman under the seat, unfortunately he did not lock the wheel as there were lots of people around at the time and he thought nobody would be brazen enough
to mess with the bike with lots of witnesses there.

About six days later he came back looking much happier, the bike had been found parked in a small Soi off Jomtien beach road. The owner of a small convenience store had notice the bike and knew nobody local owned it, after 5 days he called the police and reported it as abandoned.
When T went to check the bike he found that the seat lock had been broken and his gear had been nicked.
Whoever took the bike was probably after some quick cash to buy more beer, so T
was quite lucky as all it cost him was a new seat, about 3000 B instead of 60,000 B.
Lesson learned he said, next time I will use all the locks available.
One tip I got from a friendly local policeman about wheel locks for you motor bike, use hand cuffs, there is no way they can be cut and no way they can free wheel the bike away.

I had been preparing for Christmas and had started baking Christmas mince meat pies,
the production line had to come to a halt when Aek our cook/cashier/waiter had to go home
for a family reunion. I was left to supervise the rest of the staff, Geng normally on the ball but
this was not his most alert performance. I have noticed before that no matter how smart/astute/switched on the boys are, they seem to have days when they seem to switch off or forget everything they ever learned.
Things were going a bit slow for the breakfasts and I explained to Geng that customers don't like to wait 20/30 minutes for their breakfast, this was met with incomprehension. When I tried to tactfully explain that he could use more than one gas ring at a time instead of cooking every item individually in the one pan I was rewarded with pouts and the cold shoulder. Eventually I got him to cook the bacon and the eggs at the same time as he loaded the toaster (progress you say) Wait for it.......
I had been upstairs doing some work and when I came down for a break ,Geng was cooking Pancakes, but he was not happy. His Pancakes were not round like Aeks and “did not look beautiful”.
He had some on a plate already cooked so I tried one and it was good (but not round)
Just as I was munching the Pancake the customer stuck his head in the kitchen and asked Geng if he had forgotten his order.
How long has he been waiting I asked.......30 Mins says Geng.
I don't know why customer ask me that said Geng, I already tell him he has to wait long time until I make pancakes beautiful.
Fortunately Aek is now back and Geng is getting a refresher course on organising his cooking routine and making beautiful round Pancakes.

Sunee Plaza is picking up but could do with more people around, I have noticed that the Persian Bar/nightclub (Apadana) is very quiet these days, in fact lately they keep the lights on but nobody is working there.
I have noticed that now we are approaching the high season some of what you would term
“Old hands” are reappearing,most of them working as free lancers in the various establishments
and beer bars.

The latest rumor I have heard repeated is that a new bar is going to be opened in what used to be Balkan Express. The story goes the new owner is a straight American and wears his hair in dreadlocks and his wife is going to run a girlie bar that plays Hip Hop music... Stay tuned!

I paid a visit to WonderBar last week , they are still doing two shows a night, the show I saw was good and different from the last time I was there. They still have a bunch of cute dancers and non dancers on the stage.
Once again I gave look in to Happy Boys and was not disappointed by the reception I received,
It still is one of my favourite places to go and have some fun. Some people say the boys are to pushy but I don't find that at all.

In the spirit of Christmas I am going to share with you some Christmas E cards that a

Good Morning to you all, I am a bit later than I expected in sending this months newsletter out, I have to confess that I have had other distractions keeping me from the keyboard.
I will leave you to your imagination as to the nature of the distractions, enough to say that there are a lot of new faces in Pattaya and I have been going around the bars checking them out.

We are now past the wet season and the daily rain has stopped although it has been quite cool at nights and slightly overcast during the daytime.

The news from the bar scene is that the bar owners are girding their lions preparing for a hectic high season (Here’s Hoping), This past low season has have been one of the quietest in memory for a lot of old Pattaya hands.The poor bar owners were threatening to start brewing their own beer in an effort to cut overhead costs.
Brand Names such as Creemov Sumyungai,Diddler’s Piddle, Shafter’s Shandy, Porker Porter and Stikyfingr Lager have been suggested to entice the customers into the parlours of Joy and Happiness .

The proposed opening of Amazon Bar (Formally Villa Rouge) has been put on hold for the time being, this after work had been done on the interior. Nobody seems to know the reasons why , and being Pattaya there are plenty rumors abounding.

Loy Kratong is upon us again . It takes place this Sunday . I have heard that alot of the bars will be closing early so the staff can go and participate in the festival. I spoke to the Mamasan at the Forest House in Sunee Plaza and they are staying open all night.
In the past I have gone to the beach with the staff from The Bar La Cage. Deck chairs are hired and tables put up, then bottles of whiskey are produced. It is a very relaxing evening watching the boys frolicking in the sand in their skimpies and setting of fireworks, each boy trying to out do the other’s display with a bigger bang or a brighter flash ( keep your mind out of the gutter-I’m talking about Fireworks ). I normally leave around midnight with the party still going strong, by this time the music has started and the boys are dancing up a storm. I have yet to invite a partner to the dance but have my eye on a handsome hunk that I met in Happy Boys the other night, the only problem is that I am so shy and afraid that my modest proposal will be rejected.

I had reason to look into Accident insurance costs and found that the Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has policies underwritten by New York Life, the basic policy costs 1200 B a year, for 50,000 B coverage (Hospital expenses), you can get higher coverage for not much more if desired. I think that this would be good coverage for anybody with a high deductible and people that are here part time and not worried about health insurance.

Sam’s Report on Cambodian Trip
Trip to Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville October 7 - 12, 2010
The trip was booked several months before to fit in with a friend’s holiday time in Pattaya and we were lucky to obtain a promo price from Air Asia so that the round trip only cost 2010 Baht per person. Air Asia only fly to PP once a day from Bkk and we departed on time at 15.25 and arrived on time, landing at 16.35. We were quickly through Immigration as we had obtained E-Visas online, these can be found at www.mfaic.gov.kh/evisa/ and saves you a page in your passport. You can also get a visa on arrival and will need 2 photos and pay $20. Outside there are plenty of taxis and tuktuks to take you to your hotel/guesthouse, it’s about 30 mins to the centre of PP and costs around $10. There is a range of accommodation available and the riverfront is a great area to stay, the only Gay Guesthouse is www.manorhousecambodia.com and I have stayed here twice before and did so on this trip. It’s run by Greg from Australia and his Cambodian bf and is safe, secure and to a very high standard with room safes and free wi-fi, I can recommend it. I think I should mention here US$ are the main currency used in Cambodia, I was getting $30 for 1000Baht in Pattaya and managed to get $32 from a money exchange in PP.
PP is not a large city and is easy to travel around using the tuktuks, and same as Pattaya you should agree your price beforehand, for short journeys $2 or $3 is adequate. It’s reasonably safe and the people are friendly and helpful and have a good standard of English. Sights to see are The Royal Palace, National Museum and the riverfront which is a great area with lots of bars and restaurants along its length, and so drinking and eating alfresco at night time and watching the world go by is a must. There is also the Foreign Correspondents Club which is open to all and has an upstairs restaurant and bar with reasonable prices and views across the river – recommended. Two other places that you should visit so that you can get a better understanding of Cambodia are Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum(S21 prison camp), and the Killing Field about 30 minutes from the city centre by tuktuk.
PP used to have a few gay bars but sadly only one has survived and this is the Blue Chilli bar not far from the riverfront www.bluechillibar.com It is run by a good Thai friend of mine, Oak, and his Cambodian partner Sokha and was originally set up by an English chap, John, who was there during our trip. Please visit the bar as you will assured of a warm welcome from Oak and Sokha. It is not the same as Thailand as, apart from the two waiters, boys do not work in the bar but there are often many there looking to meet a new friend especially on Friday and Saturday when they do a small show which is very popular. Cambodia and it’s people are still very poor compared to Thailand, they are not greedy and happy with any assistance they may receive. Wat Phnanom is a park and temple on a small hill where many people spend their afternoons and you may find a friend here.
Although only in Cambodia for 5 days we really wanted to visit the beach resort of Sihanoukville to see what it looked like. We hired a Cambodian lad whose “friend” had bought him a car to use as a taxi and was known to the guys in Blue Chilli, and set off for the resort at lunchtime. It is a long 4 hour drive in good weather but we were unlucky as a tropical storm was raging and we drove through this and by the time we arrived at the resort lots of trees and other damage had been caused and the sea was very rough, and unfortunately it never really stopped raining all the time we were there. John from Blue Chilli came with us and we stayed at a small guesthouse recommended by him and owned and run by the local police chief, his wife and their family. They were all very friendly, the rooms had air con, shower/toilet and cable tv with more channels than UBC, and only $15 per night.
It was only a 5 minute walk to the beach so we threw or bags inside our rooms and headed for the beach bars at 5.30pm and didn’t get back there until after midnight! The beach we were on was Ochheuteal and this is the least developed with bars all along the stretch of beach and John said they always did beach BBQs every night but not this night due to the weather. There are several other beaches and you can find info on the internet. We liked what we saw of Sihanoukville despite the weather and the next Cambodia trip will include several days at this resort. We left about 2pm the next day and got back to PP by 7pm, we hit heavy rain and flooding on the way and it was touch and go as to whether we would get through or not but our taxi driver did a great job. We paid him $110 for the trip and covered his food and accommodation. Air con buses run regularly to and from Sihanoukville and the cost is only $4 one way.
We spent our final night back at ManorHouse and the Blue Chill bar, lunched at the FCC the next day www.fcccambodia.com/phnom_penh/boutique-hotel.php then flew back to Bkk. The AirAsia flight left 20 minutes early at 17.05, we breezed through Thai Immigration and were back in Pattaya by 8.30pm. The Thai Airport tax was included in the Thai flight but when leaving PP you have to pay $25.
If you want to see a different part of S E Asia then I recommend you try Cambodia.

Greetings from a Soggy Pattaya, we are now in the latter part of the wet season and are getting a lot of rain.
Fortunately most of the down pour is early morning time so it does not interrupt the cultural activities of most the visitors.

Talking about visitors, we are seeing many new faces here at Two Guys, We have visitors from Hawaii, Ireland, New Zealand, Belgium, Singapore, Japan , China and a very cute young Russian.

Bill is a new visitor to Pattaya, he normally visits Phuket and was told that a week in Pattaya and he would be bored.
He is here this time on sick leave as he was suffering from stress induced problems.
Originally he was booked in for 10 days but when he discovered all his stress problems had gone and how much fun he was having he extended another 10 days.
He could not believe the range of bars Sunee had to offer and how friendly the bar workers were.The other morning he sitting with 3 pieces of paper in his hand and complaining that they were telephone numbers given to him from the night before and he couldn't remember who they were from.
He definitely has not let the grass grow under his feet, I see him with new companions every day, sometimes as many as three.

News around Sunee;
Wan's Cafe is now open for business and seems to be doing good, they have managed to find new staff, and some of them are very cute. One of the customers from Two Guys has been a regular there and has enjoyed being pampered by the staff.

The old Balkan Express has reopened as a beer bar called "What Else", I dropped in for a beer, quite reasonable prices (50 B for a Leo)
I was greeted effusively by the Mama San who arranged for a staff member to sit beside me, unfortunately he could speak no english except for "buy me a drink" an offer that I declined.
Shortly after that the Mama San also offered to fetch a drink for him, again an offer I declined. As beer bars go it was OK to sit there and watch the world go by,I found the staff to be a little bit pushy, maybe because they are new and trying to hard.

The Old Villa Rouge is in the final Stages of getting ready for opening, I have heard that it is someone connected with Hollywood Disco who is the owner. They are off up country at the moment looking for new staff and dancers. There are going to be Coyote dancers, but I don't know yet if there will a proper show or just dancers lining the wall like Dave Man's club .

I stopped off on my rounds of Sunee at The CU Bar (Duck from old Balkan Express) and got chatting to Bill and was sucking on a beer or two, next thing we are given a plate of Tab Nabs, (samplers of the food that Duck has on offer) Bill and his companion enjoyed the Kebab sausages and I took charge of the mini spicy burgers. They were served with toasted Pita bread covered in a very tasty secret sauce. Duck says that food is available from opening to closing time. Prices here are very reasonable 50 B for domestic beer.

My other late night hang out is the Forest bar, where I have been ogling a cute staff member or two, both have very nice smiles and I enjoy the cerebal topics we discuss.
I use this as my base of operations when I am doing my research of Sunee for the Two Guys Newsletter
There are quite a few new staff there, all very pleasant and still willing to give you a thrashing at a game of pool any time you want to play.

Here is an Amusing Story as told to me by Bob from Denmark

I had been out shopping and returned to Two Guys,
Bob was sitting outside reading a book and when he saw me arrive his face broke into a huge grin,
he said I have been waiting to share this with somebody.

Bob was in his usual seat outside on the terrace reading his book and occasionally watching the world go by on the Soi.
He said that he noticed a motorbike draw up in the small alleyway across from Two Guys.
The driver got off, parked his bike and removed a towel that he had around his neck and laid it out on the motor bike seat to dry. he then went off to do whatever business he came for.
Bob noticed that the towel had slid off the seat a bit and was hanging down over the rear wheel but seemed to be stable.

A little while later one of the cats that terrorize the neighborhood came prowling down the alleyway and stopped at the motor bike and had a sniff at the overhanging towel.
Bob said the cat obviously thought someone new was moving into his territory so he turned around and proceeded to spray the overhanging towel with his scent then stalked off.

About 10 minutes later the driver of the motorbike and a companion arrived back, The driver picked up the towel, draped it around his neck and got on the bike followed by his companion getting on the back.
The guy back seat lent forward to talk to the driver and Bob said you could see his face screw up when he got a whiff of the cats calling card.
He said something to the driver who by then was looking around him to see where the awful smell came from. Eventually the pong was traced to the towel which was hastily removed from around the drivers neck and discarded.
By the end of the story Bob was cackling to himself so hard he was red in the face and having to stop and take breaths.

Good day to you all, welcome to Observations and Discombobulated Ramblings of a Gay Guesthouse owner.

This Month I have more stories from customers that were kind enough to share their experiences with me

Are you sitting comfortably, well lets begin!

First lets get the sad news out of the way, another Bar has closed in Sunee, Memories Music Bar closed mid month, I am led to believe that Ian & Leigh decided to call it a day after a very low season and less customers than normal.

It is not staying shut for long as Wan of Wan's Cafe and also Wan's Bar has acquired the business and intends to move the operations from the Soi Yensabai location that he just sold to the vacant memories bar.

The new name for the cafe is yet to be decided. They hope to cater to Thai and Farang customers. I think this may be a good addition for Sunee, I have heard people in the past mentioning that there was no Cafe for farangs in Sunee.
I wish them lots of luck and hope they do well.

Some Good news from Sunee

I visited Wonderland Gogo bar after hearing good reviews of the show. (Last month I called it Happy Land, sorry for messing with your heads)
They had some cute dancers and the show was a good as most that I have seen in Pattaya.
The bonus is that after the show they now have some very personable non dancers on stage as well.
There are two shows nightly and the dance routines are changed regularly

I also visited Yaya bar for the first time and was warmly greeted by Ya himself, I was made to feel welcome with some very nice staff circulating
and not at all pushy. I will certainly be going back there.

Mike's Bar LaCage has been running his Friday Fish and Chip night for over a month now and it is proving to be very popular, 26 people turned up at the last one.
Remember this is in the depth of the low season), The food is supplied piping hot from the Village Chippy on Third road.

Mike is also running a quiz competition after the food is scarfed, all are welcome to participate. There is also an accumulating bonus round at the end of the quiz, if the bonus is not won it is rolled over and added to next weeks offering.

I have been hanging around The Forest bar at the weekends its good for catching up on the gossip and just sitting there you can watch all the action taking place on the corner around that part of Sunee.

The staff are pleasant and some are willing to give you a thrashing at pool anytime you are willing to challenge them.

It is funny to see their actions when they win, I am often smiling as I watch them joyfully jump up and down flapping their arms in the air and squealing their happiness. Only in Pattaya

I stopped into Oud's Bar for a gab with Jack and Ralph. Jack has been spending his quiet time making paintings on his computer. I saw some of them and they were very good, they looked quite stunning when presented in a frame. Talk nicely to Jack and he might take you in the back and show you his etchings.
Ralph told me that they are getting ready for a holiday to the States and Costa Rica soon. Ralph was also saying the bar has a hard time keeping staff, seems the customers like them so much they keep taking them as long termboyfriends.

I ended up at Dave's Man Club one Saturday night with Bill and Tan from Bangkok. All of us should have known better as we had already imbibed plenty (those of you with uncharitable thoughts might well read pissed), but what the hell life is short.

It turned out that the club was hosting a foam party and was jumping with lots of happy young Thai men willing to go into the foam and get all wet. Now have you seen young Thai guys with their shirts and pants clinging to their sinuous slim bodies, a sight not to be missed.

I was standing near the stage, watching a smiling cute young guy who was on the stage dancing to his partner on the floor.
This lithe young man had obviously been in the foam because you could see the outline of his body undulating as he danced to the music.

Once the music finished he nodded to his partner, who reached up for him, put his arms around him just below bum level and lifted him of the stage.
He then relaxed his hold on the dancer just enough to allow him to slide down to floor level, the friction of the grip pulling up the dancers pants showing the shape of his well formed bum,
and at the same time pulling his T shirt up to reveal his gleaming wet torso.

When the dancer was safely standing, his partner slowly pulled the T shirt above his head and gave him a big open mouth kiss. At the same time dropping the wet T shirt on the floor and slipping his hands over the wet skin, down the back of his pants and then pulling them together. This has to be one of the most erotic things I have ever witnessed
( maybe it was because I was tired and emotional)

David is an interesting customer was here on a short visit from Taiwan. He hails from England originally and now lives in Taiwan with his partner.
He is semi retired and does courier work for a major airline, he also has done bit parts in ad's for and local TV due to the lack of westerners available.
Seemingly there are not to many westerners that go to visit Taiwan let alone stay so he is in a minority.

He explained that in Taiwan the unmarried live at home with their parents so most of the gay action is in Hotels, Guesthouses or other places.
He lives in a small industrialized town with no formal Gay establishments but plenty of action.
David likes to go walking in a local park and is often approached by young men wishing to practice their English!!!

He says a lot of the young men like older westerners and he has been offered to be taken out for a meal and taxis home just so they can get to practice their English in a more informal setting. Now that is my idea of how we should be treated.

I very recently had an irate email from a would be customer who turned up for breakfast at 07.00 and found only the night security staff on duty.
Unfortunately the web site does advertise breakfast at 07.00 and this had been pointed out to me once before so I should have been at least apologetic even contrite.

But when you open up your email first thing in the morning and read advice like CHANGE YOUR F**KING WEBSITE this does not put you in a diplomatic frame of mind.
I was quite restrained and merely told him to "piss off". Reading between the lines of his subsequent emails I don't think I won him over as he was threatening to expose me on the forums. Maybe I shouldn't have told him to get a life.

Quiet Ramblings of A Gay Guesthouse Owner

Good Morning to all of you from a very quiet Pattaya, Things have cooled off a little bit with the start of the rainy season. We are now getting our daily rain showers and fortunately a lot of it is at night.

Although I have sometimes had to stay in the bar late evenings/ early mornings because the rain.

This is another quiet season, mainly because of the economic climate and the fracas in Bangkok causing many visitors to find other countries to visit.

We have taken advantage of the quiet time to do some maintenance like fixing leaks, laying new tiles

and re-grouting the tiles in the showers. The staff did most of the work they were quite surprised when I first told them I wanted the work done, but were quite happy to be kept occupied (and in a job) rather than them sitting around on their duffs all day staring into space.

I had a customer in for early breakfast yesterday. He had just closed his bar (07.30) and was hungry so he stopped off at Two Guys for the # 1 breakfast with double everything.

I sat at the table with him having my own breakfast and generally catching up on the gossip from Sunee.

As I was chatting away to him he looked out onto the Soi and suddenly went rigid, he had a look on his face like a greyhound dog that just caught a glimpse of a rabbit.

I turned round to see what he was looking at and saw the son of the Thai Restaurant owner from over the street.

Now this young man is 18 and severely handsome, about 5Ft 9” tall, not a bit of fat on him and very a well defined body, broad shoulders, nicely proportioned chest tapering into a thin waist and long tanned legs complimenting the view.

He gets up every morning at about 07.30-08.00 and strolls around the restaurant in his boxer shorts, quite oblivious to the outside world.

At this time of the morning I usually stand at the bar, on the lookout, pretending to read the paper. I also have a mug of tea handy to catch the drools when he makes his appearance. I must confess to having been quite selfish keeping this little treat to myself, only the customers that get up early have rumbled my early morning voyeurism.

Another customer that I have told you about before (Bob) never fails to keep me entertained with his stories.

He has led quite a remarkable life from the day he was born until the present. I know he will be annoyed when I tell you that he is 90 and still chasing young men.

He was born to a single mother and was a very sick baby. When he was taken home to the family farm, they took him out to the cow shed and left him overnight on a floor covered straw and cow manure, this was to see if he would survive.

His grandfather who was a member of a rigid religious group never acknowledged him, his grandmother used to call him her ugly duckling. As a child he could not understand why everybody was angry with him and what he had done wrong. This caused him to leave home as early as he could and become a drifter.

He ended up in New York as a Chorus Line dancer with a passion for writing poetry and mixed in with the literary circle of the day. There he met many notable people among them was the writer Christopher Isherwood who became a life long friend.

Bob recounts that after a couple of meetings, Isherwood told him that they were destined to be together as lovers.

Isherwood explained that a Gypsy fortuneteller had told him that he would meet someone tall, who was a dancer, a poet, came from the Midwest and had an R in their name.

Bob said it was a load of horse manure; Isherwood was spinning him a line just to try and get into his pants.

Although they stayed lifelong friends he never did sleep with him

Last week Peter B a customer who is relocating to Korea brought in two bags of good quality clothes that he did not have room in his suitcase for. He knew that in the past I have arranged for them to go to people in need. This time one bag went to Thais for life, they distribute them to a local foundation that is known to support the needy.

The other bag went to the Karen refugee school in Bangkok that I wrote about in an earlier newsletter. Any left over garments wont be thrown away they will be sent to the students home villages in Burma.

If any body has unused reasonable clothing and don’t know what to do with them, drop them off at Two Guys Guesthouse. We can always find someone who will be thankful for it.

Two Weeks ago I was told about this best selling author and his books, The Millennium Trilogy is a series of three bestselling novels written by Stieg Larsson, 21 million copies sold. (I had never heard of him before)

I am sure you are the same as myself and always looking for a good book to read and thought I wish I could find some list where the ordinary punter lists his favorite reads or the best book he ever read.

I would like to start such a list and ask you to offer (email me at two Guys) one book title that others may enjoy.

If I receive enough replies I will update the list monthly and include it as part of the newsletter.

Happy Place in Boyz Town had Their official opening party, the show I am told was not for the faint hearted.

The Bondi had their first anniversary party, hard to believe that they have been open one year

The Owner of The Venue, Jomtien complex had his birthday party recently and I am told the show was a Knock out, They are also hosting A PGF event Sunday 15 Aug.

Krazy Dragon is holding a Saturday Sambuca party, buy one get one free

Mikes Bar LaCage is now running every Friday night Fish and Chips night, put your order in before 18.00

And they will be delivered freshly cooked at 20.30. Good quality and portions.

Plus they do Steak & Kidney Pud. and Roast Chicken dinners.

CU bar was closed for renovations to the bar and is open for business again.

I am hearing good things about the Happyland gogo bar in Sunee, the show just keeps getting better and better

and this from a Bangkok bar owner.

Martin from the Forest Bar has gone home for three weeks and left the capable Bee in charge, they have some very cute new waiters just started recently, worth a look.

Some of the BoyzTown establishments are in the process of getting a face lift.

Café Royal has had some major work done inside.

The Copa is getting an Elevator installed for the rooms and should be up and running soon.

The Amore restaurant has been refurbished and going to open as a Wine and Cheese bar.

Nice boys GoGo bar was shut down because of irregularities do not know what is happening there.

A new Lady boy bar has opened in Soi 17, lots of money spent on it and lots of staff hanging around.

Its situated in the new building just across the road from the Mink restaurant, near Shisa house.

I was at the Corner Bar for Tomas’s birthday bash, and quite an evening it was. The pool table was

used to display the food buffet with lots of variety, sandwiches , canapés (I call them Tab Nabs),

fried chicken strips, roast beef , roast pork, salads and fresh fruit.

The majority of waiters were topless and with the fashion now a days (their pants hanging of their ass) almost bottomless. There was lots of good entertainment with one performer singing and playing his acoustic guitar .

We also had a (civilized) farang karaoke, with a very proficient singer playing many of the standards that the audience requested.

I am afraid I could not concentrate on the music as I was getting distracted by one very handsome waiter

dancing about topless and who’s pants were almost at his crotch, every time the pants got to the tripping point

he would deftly give them a little flick upwards for them to start the whole descending cycle again, believe me it was eve riveting stuff.

Some of the other waiters also gave impromptu dances much to the appreciation of the other customers.

Once the Birthday Cake was cut and given out the waiters started smearing each other with the cream, I was temped to join in but knew it might get out of hand. (Think what you like)

A good night was had by all and the party was still going on when I left at 23.00.

Good day to you all, welcome to more ramblings of a Gay Guesthouse owner.

This Month I have some more tales and experiences to relate to you. I am assured that they are all true.

I was telling a customer an amusing tale of my first time in Pattaya and going into a 7-11 shop to buy some condoms.

I will tell you that story later , anyway he topped my story with his about his first visit to a Pattaya Pharmacy.

Pharmacy

Or should I say his friends visit. Ken being a rather shy gentleman was in need of some KY gel and was to embarrassed to go into the shop and ask for it. His friend P who was no Pattaya virgin volunteered to go get it for him while Ken stood outside the shop looking in.

P entered the shop and had a look around the display shelves and not, finding any KY gel went to the counter and spoke to the owner.

Unfortunately the owner could not speak much English and did not understand what P had asked for.

Ken watched from outside as P used sign language to try and communicate his wishes.

He did this by holding up his left hand and making a circle with his finger and thumb and

used the index finger of his right hand to simulate a pumping action.

Ken said The Pharmacist looked on in horror then threw up his hands, angrily waving them about saying no hab.... no hab, illegal in Thailand.
P realizing that he was being misunderstood asked the pharmacist what was illegal, whereupon the Pharmacist told him that he thought he was asking for a dildo.

I never did find out if ken got his KY gel.

7-11 Shopping
On my first visit to Pattaya I was in need of some condoms and visited the 7-11 on the corner of beach road with my companion that
I had met in BoyzTown. I also being quite shy had waited until no other customers were at the counter, slid up to the server and laid my items to be purchased in a heap on the counter.
There was Lots of snacks and junk food and buried deep among this was the packet of condoms.
All went well until the counter assistant picked up the condoms looked at them and said "no take". I said yes I want , No he said.

He then called over to another assistant and had a loud conversation in Thai, both examining the packet of condoms and gesturing towards me.
This attracted the attention of everybody in the shop and they all were having a good look at the condoms and myself. Exactly the opposite of the situation I wanted to happen.

By this time there were a number of people at the counter including my companion all a discussing the condoms and the word "Falang" being bandied about.

The counter assistant and my companion then went to the condom rack and brought back all the various condoms and proceeded to examine each type.

My companion finally decided which type was suitable and with a triumphant flourish held up the pack for all to give their approval.
Exiting the shop feeling thoroughly humiliated I asked my companion what the F**K had just happened.
I was informed I had picked a packet of condoms that were sized for the Thai customer and they had to find ones suitable for the Falang.
I must admit they fitted quite well and all was forgiven later.

Happenings around The Soi

Last month was a busy social time, it seemed that there was a party every other night

demanding my attention.

Mike at Bar LaCage had his 60^th Birthday bash on the 22 June and it was a brilliant night (what I remember of it) The entertainment consisted of a solo Guitarist who I just caught the end of his act, he was obviously good because the customers gave him a good send off. Following him was a team of acrobats and entertainers who interacted with the audience very well.

Other performers were two sets of singers…. Rose and Andre were up first and they performed lots of music requests keeping the atmosphere buzzing.

Next up Was Jeffrey Vernon, Jeffrey who is over 60 and does a fabulous job of covering songs made popular by Frank Sinatra. I think he got the largest ovation of the evening.

After Jeffery was Mz Edith Crep Drag Artist and entertainer, bussed in especially from Jomtien to do a one time performance. She had a good time smooching with the crowd and tickling the customers fancy.

Rose and Andre finished up the evenings entertainment and by this time just about everybody was quite merry and the till was quite full.

Mike was grinning like a Cheshire cat for a couple of days after.

Other Happenings ;

Ya Ya Bar had their official opening on the 28 June, the new owner is a pleasant guy as is his staff

Wonderland has recruited some new staff and the show is getting better all the time,

They are still doing two shows a night, more power to them.

I stopped into the new Wan’s Bar and had a pleasant time chatting to Colin (Colin & Wan) and ogling the staff. The new bar is a double unit and quite spacious, still good for watching the comings and goings at the top end of the Soi.

Last weekend I stopped into my other local The Forest Bar and found a Triple birthday party in progress, rounds of beer were being bought fast and furious and the birthday boys were certainly out to have a good time.

I left around 01.00 and the party was still going strong. Martin told me it went on very, very late

One new bar in BoyzTown area, used to be Bubbles now called Happy Place. They do an erotic show at the weekend and I am told the place is stand up only when the show is on.

Get There early

Things are quiet now in Pattaya and it seems it is going to be a low season all round, the Gay businesses seem to be faring a little bit better than most.

More tales next month, I had a story about someone entertained the famous poet Dylan Thomas at his house but I managed to misplace it. The person is coming back soon so I will ply him with some wine and get another rendition.

Greetings to You and Welcome to the Land of the recovering Smile

Last Month I told you about a handsome young man I met at the Forest Bar and to let you understand

Just how common it is to meet friendly young men here I will tell you about another Person that it happened to.

David turned up for breakfast in the company of a slim handsome young stunner; he was very quiet and did not

speak much to any of the Farangs but did speak to Ak our waiter /cook/cashier.

This tall, slim young man was wearing the pants that are fashionable just now and are made of a slightly stretchy material. They are designed to cling to the form of the body and can best be described as showing the curves and natural shape of the body.

Some people don’t suit them but on this young man they sure did, one could say they were revealing.

Naturally (out of pure envy) I asked David about his companion, he said (rubbing salt in the wound) that he was a sweetheart and he had met him in a Family Mart convenience store.

They had met at the counter at the same time, David not being shy said hello to the young man and was rewarded with a smiling reply. They then met outside the shop and continued their conversation finding out that they had much in common. The upshot was David invited the young man back to his room and they have been companions since then. Once again Only in Pattaya can and does this happen to you.

Interesting Customers

Being a curious person (uncharitable people say I am a nosey bugger) I like to find out about the background of the customers that visit Two Guys.

I happened to be speaking to a couple of dudes that comes down from Bangkok regularly and they mentioned that they are volunteer English tutors in a Karen refugee center.

All the students escaped from Burma to Thailand and they come to the refugee center to learn English so they will be able to get a minimum wage job in Bangkok.

The students are male and female, young and committed to bettering themselves and supporting their family’s back home. The youngest is a 17 year boy named Joey (they adopt English names) who walked for 8 days through the Jungles of Burma and over the Thai mountains to get to the center.

The centre require the students to put up 2,000 B each per month which is matched with 3,000 B grant.

The students are so hungry for knowledge that they hang on every word and write everything you say down in their note books.

Tommy tells this story; Once when I was talking and writing on the whiteboard I forgot my next thought and unconsciously said “shit” aloud. I turned around and they were all staring at me with wide open eyes having just finished writing in their books and were now waiting for the explanation. I then had to go round the class and make sure that they had only written their books what I had put on the board and not what I had said.

Every Cloud has a Silver Lining

The recent slump the Thai economy does have some beneficial side effects. I frequent GayRomeo www.gayromeo.com a gay site that has a section for pattaya. In this you can meet many young men wanting to

date or just chat, (be warned many are not what they tell you).

During the recent down turn I have had many more people contacting me asking to chat or meet. One that especially comes to mind is a young romantic that in the past won the best bum in Pattaya competition.

He previously stated on his profile “anybody over 35 need not bother me “ ,( I am past this by just a few years) .

Out of curiosity I answered him and asked why he was now hitting on Papas as they like to call them. He replied that he liked Papas very much and he had his friend write his previous profile as he did not understand English. Now I am not proud or vindictive and just to prove my point I made a date and had a very enjoyable evening out with him…...

Happenings in Pattaya

Sundance Bar has been sold and after major renovation has reopened as Yaya, There will be a Grand opening Party June 26.

Eros GoGo is opened again, I popped in and was pleasantly surprised, not many dancers but reasonable quality.

Mike Bar LaCage has now been transformed and I must say that he has done a good job. What I also like is I can now have a game of cribbage. We are in the process of teaching the bar staff how to play the game

Amore Restaurant in BoyzTown is closed for renovation; no opening date has been posted.

Two new early shows one at the Copa, A New Underwater erotic show starts at 21.30

And at Boyz Boyz Boyz at 10pm, have their all new Bad Boyz Male Strip Show with a soapy water shower scene

Tavern Bar at The Amati Hotel on Beach road are doing a comedy club show until 24 June,

The show starts at 21.00 and costs 999 B

Salutations From the wonderfully warm and QUIET city of Pattaya where there are more smiling willing Young men than there are Farangs. We are now into a low season which is not being helped by the goings on in Bangkok.

There is no Red shirt activity in Pattaya and life is going on as normal.

Last Month I mentioned that I was at a party In The Forest bar and was given an unexpected treat.

I was sitting at the bar and watching the people coming and going in the bar and outside and minding everybody’s business.

When I spied a slightly pissed handsome young man sitting at a table with his friends....

They had a bottle of whiskey on the table and they were playing the drinking game where the loser has to “chug a lug” or “down in a gulp” a shot of whiskey.

He was taller than normal probably about 5’10”, slim, very handsome, slightly round face, almond shaped eyes, large eyelashes and a large mouth with full lips. Plus a dazzling smile.

Anyway I happened to catch this particular cuties eye and was rewarded with a slightly shy smile when I winked at him.

As the evening wore on I noticed that he was looking over in my direction more and more and smiling each time.

I of course was playing it Mr. cool trying not to get caught leering in is direction.

On one of his frequent visits to the toilet I said hello to him and asked his name and then told him he was very handsome.

This seemed to please him a lot, so much that he put his arms around my neck and gave me a big juicy kiss direct on the mouth. His mouth completely covering mine, his cushion like lips soft and warm.

The effect almost knocked me off my bar stool and left me speechless, as he said thank you and returned to his table.

I had to turn to face the bar to avoid other punters in the bar noticing the adolescent reaction this had on me.

Every time after that, when he returned from the toilet, I was rewarded with another mind-blowing kiss combined with his lower regions being pushed against my knee.

Eventually I managed to get him to sit and have a drink with me and as he could not abandon his friends that evening we made a date for later in the week.

We have been out a couple of times since and enjoyed each others company completel

Only in Pattaya can and does this happen to you.

Another True Story

A Gay friend of mine, who just moved into a new condo and frequented the gym there, struck up an acquaintance with one of the other residents also using the gym.

After a couple of conversations on different occasions about things in general, the new acquaintance mentioned that he had a medical problem that had plagued him for years. (Don’t ask me what it was, I was told but I forget)

His gay friend told him of a remedy that he should try as it was a common ailment with Gays. (He then made the point; I’m not gay myself by the way)

The upshot of it was” K” told his new acquaintance that he was Gay, only to be told in a stunned voice

But you can’t be.... Why not said “K”

"Because we were both talking about football the previous conversation we had" replied the crestfallen acquaintance.

Siem Reap Visit

I have just been to Cambodia, Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.
I decided to miss the water festival this year and took 4 days off, 16 to 20 may.

We traveled by car to the Thai/Cambodian border, parked the car at a secure car park (100B/ day) and picked up a taxi to Siem Reap about 1-1/2 hours and cost a whopping $60 between 3 of us.
Getting through the border controls was relatively quick going and coming back with the help of some enterprising gentlemen.

I found the Thai and Cambodian immigration officials were very helpful.

I had a very interesting time in Siem Reap and stayed in an old French Colonial style Guest House near down town which had been renovated about two years ago.

Everything here is priced in American dollars and most of the young people speak English.
Most of the businesses in the downtown have young security guards and they are all severely cute. I ogled one on my last night here and was rewarded with a huge smile. I wished I had met him at the start. But I am going back in June and now I know where he works I will be checking him out for sure.

Angkor Wat was just unbelievable......

The massive size of the place is to be seen to be believed, and what I found mind blowing was all the buildings were constructed using stone upon stone and no mortar or binding used to seal the joints. The attention to detail and the fitting of blocks to each other in the construction is phenomenal considering the basic tools they were working with.

I got some advice from others guests at the Seven In (Martin, Forest Bar & Martin from Jomtien) did some research and went to the Angkor Wat museum in the town as recommended by my advisers.

That way I was able to decide what interested me and save me walking all over the place. You can literally spend weeks there looking it is so big.

This is where they shot part of the Laura croft movie I am told.

To do the tour of Angkor Wat I hired a Tuk Tuk that was attached to a motorbike, the cost for the day $12 US.

I planned to visit 3 parts of the huge site, the Tuk Tuk driver waiting around to ferry me to the next venue.

Unfortunately the original driver was nowhere to be seen after the first drop off.

Fortunately I had not paid him anything. I found out later other people had used this same driver and they had to go find him as he had gone off for a sleep and expected the customers to wait for him to wake up.

I gave him half an hour and then went looking for another very cute driver probably no older that 19 that had been touting for business earlier.

I found him sitting in the shade with his friend who spoke excellent English and we agreed a price for the rest of the trip around the site.

While we were driving around I had a very nice view of the drivers well proportioned lovely butt. As it was hot he had removed his shirt showing off his lean torso topped with a rippling set of shoulders (all this for $ 8)

At the end of the day as we drove back to the Guesthouse it started to rain quite heavily. The effect of the rain water glistening on the driver’s skin, highlighting the constantly moving lines and curves while he was wrestling with the motorbike was quite mesmerizing.

When we got to the guest house I tried to make conversation with him and ask him if he wanted to come to my room and dry off. But unfortunately he did not understand a lot of English and there was no staff around to do any translation.

As I was bidding him farewell after paying him, I told him “you come back tonight we party” I could see the wheels turning in his brain, then comprehension as he replied “yes I party my boyfriend tonight” and he drove off with a happy wave. Bugger! I need to learn more Cambodian than thank you.

Floating Communities
I also did a visit to a floating restaurant on this huge lake where many people live on boats. They even keep pigs and have gardens and even store firewood (see photos)

The water depth at the moment is approx. 1.5 m because of the dry season, the guide said that in the wet season it got as deep as 15 m. I noticed all the boats propeller shafts were almost horizontal and one had to be careful to slow down when passing by each other in the shallow river, otherwise everybody got splattered with muddy water getting thrown up by the propellers. Boats were passing each each other with a gap between them of less than 7 cm.

Night Life in Siem Reap

The night life in Siam Reap was a bit of a disappointment only because we are spoiled in Pattaya , we went to two gay bars, one of them I thought a bit Yuppie although the did have a well attended show that had people crowding the door and looking in the windows to see it. The other bar was overpriced and zilch atmosphere, we ended up back in the guesthouse that night having more fun with the waiters.

The following night we went to a supposedly Katoy bar, but this was also disappointment as it was stacked out with young women. AAhhg!
Later on into our stay I heard about a “late night” club that was supposed to jumping with genuine cuties, that's on the list for investigation next time as well.

I went out to eat a couple of nights and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from,
I tried Cambodian food for the first time and found it to be quite delicious.
The food at the guest house was also very good and I especially liked the baguette sandwiches
that were served in the afternoons, made with wonderful fresh bread

Happenings in Pattaya

May 5 , Birthday party for Gun (a very pleasant person) of Euroboys

Mikes Bar LaCage, had a St Georges (patron saint of England) day party. There was much singing and flag waving by the boisterous (read Pissed) English contingent.

It was a very good natured evening with others nationalities of the UK and Europe and even some colonials being graciously allowed to attend.“After all” said Mike “We need someone to make fun of”

Sawadee in BoyzTown is now doing nightly shows at the weekend, Fri, Sat and Sun.

Happy Boys, one of my favorite bars for many reasons, is now doing low season drink prices of 99B and upstairs is free when you buy your accompanying host a drink. Tips are also welcomed by you’re accommodating host.

Place to B bar has been bought by Wan, previously Wan’s Bar

Wonderland in Sunee is now doing Two shows nightly.

Mikes Bar, La Cage, is undergoing some changes, Mike has been inviting people round to inspect

his large hole, much more than that I can not say as I have been sworn to secrecy, all will be revealed in June when he has his big party.

Eros Go Go is for sale as is, Jimmy Jimmy James Go Go and Enjoy Karaoke

Rainbow and Wonder bars are closed for the low season.

Gang about to be Busted
Hello Again to you, I hope you are seated comfortably, this news will probably knock you out of your seat if you are not strapped in.

This month I have some SENSATIONAL EXCLUSIVE news about an undercover gang that is operating in South Pattaya.
I have been observing them for a while after being tipped off by an undisclosed important high official (who feeds me exclusive confidential secret information).

The mobsters named the Kitty Kat Gang (known to insiders as the Meows) have been shaking down the neighborhood and ripping off businesses for some time now.

It is a family run Mob and the leader of the enforcers is shockingly their Mother, Kitty Malone.
She runs the gang with paws of razor sharp claws and woe betide anybody that even looks at her the wrong way.

Kitty Malone She has been known to paint her razor sharp talons with red nail varnish, simulating blood just to frighten her victims.

The other main gang members are, twins Tiger Malone and Moggy Malone,
and the older son Ginger Malone

Ginger Malone the heavyweight enforcer of the gang, out intimidating the locals.

On the surface the gang members are very charming and have many contacts in the Farang community.
Be warned if you are associated with them or are know to spend time with them you are probably being investigated by undercover officials and might be about to get Busted.
I have it on very good authority from a highly well connected person the there will be a major bust soon.
If you are associated at all or even been seen conversing with them I advise you to contact my legal friends for advice, and for the correct amount of cat nip they can arrange to smooth things over for you.

Passing Trade

I was sitting on the Two Guys terrace chatting with some customers.
One of them quite youngish (mid 30 s) handsome, muscular and who has a preference for Lady Boys.

I was on the end seat looking down the street and noticed 3 large bosomed European ladies of easy virtue casually walking in our direction.

All of them clocked this Adonis from afar and you could see the backs straightening up and the chests jutting out after the sighting.
As they came by they started giving him meaningful looks and flashing their heavily mascara laden eye lids at him.
They stayed looking at him as they passed even turning their heads to make it obvious that they had noticed him, he was quite oblivious to them, busily chatting to other guests.

I smiled to myself and thought, even professional entertainers even get it wrong at times.

News from Sunee.

Happy Boys was closed for a short while but has opened up again.
It appears there was a change of ownership and not much else is known.

The Old Top Man Club now called Wonderland has a new owner and will open for business early April.
It is advertising Cabaret shows and rumor is there will be Coyote dancers

Forest House had a 12th. Birthday party 31st April and all are invited,
lots of food music fun.

Mike’s Bar LaCage had a 3rd Anniversary party 1st April, lots of specials, Entertainment was by Rose, who gave a good cross section of lively and romantic songs

The New C U Bar run by Duc (Balkan Express) is doing well, you will find Duc there most nights.
He has installed some new entertainment equipment; electronic darts machine, Video machine and a football table, lots to keep you and your friends entertained.

The Marina Inn is about to be renamed after a competition was held to find the new name.
The new name was to be revealed on the 31 March. Up to now I have not heard or read anything. If anybody has any information about this lets hear it.

Reportedly Sky Boys has been sold and changes are imminent there.

Other News.

We are now getting geared up for Songkran and I have bought A new Songkran shirt, the last one was 4 years old and a bit faded.

I am going off to Siem Reap for a 4 day break starting the 16 April and will miss out in the festivities.
I am looking forward to a roam around Angkor Wat, Martin from the Forest Bar lent me a book about Angkor and it going to be interesting seeing the place up close after reading the history of the place.

Mike at La Cage Bar is having a Songkran night on the 17 April with water pistols included, I imagine it is Going to be a wet wet night, should be fun especially if the waiters are in their skimpies.
